Mateo Revillo (born 1993, Spain) is a Paris-based artist whose multidisciplinary practice spans painting, sculpture, and architectural interventions. Rooted in the concept of “long-living forms,” his work explores the enduring dialogue between art, history, and matter, evoking both the immediacy of the contemporary and the echoes of ancient civilizations. Merging abstraction with archaeological sensibility, Revillo constructs poetic fragments that oscillate between ruin and renewal. A graduate of the Ruskin School of Art at Oxford University and the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris, he has exhibited internationally at institutions and galleries including Zuzeum Art Center (Riga), Casa Gilardi (Mexico City), Artissima (Turin), Fondation Fiminco (Paris-Romainville), and Chateau La Coste (Aix-en-Provence).
Revillo is also a co-founder of La Méditerranée, a Paris-based collective and research group known for its experimental, site-responsive exhibition models that blur the lines between architecture, history, and contemporary art.
